General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year diploma programme designed to prepare students to function efficiently as integral members of the healthcare team. The curriculum covers a wide range of subjects, including Nursing Fundamentals, First Aid, Biosciences, Behavioural Sciences, Nutrition, Child Health Nursing, Obstetric and Gynaecology Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, and Community Health Nursing, among others.
In the final year, students undergo a comprehensive internship programme that provides hands-on clinical experience in real healthcare settings. This training equips future nursing professionals with the skills required to deliver effective patient care, assist doctors in medical and surgical procedures, and confidently manage patients during emergency situations.
